About

Blind Beauty was founded from lived experience and a drive to create lasting change in the beauty industry. I’m Hazal, and in 2019, I lost my sight due to a neurological condition. As I navigated this new reality, I was struck by how inaccessible everyday products had suddenly become—especially skincare. Something that had once brought me joy now felt alienating.

Skincare has always been a passion of mine, but I couldn’t find products designed with blindness or visual impairment in mind. Labels I couldn’t read, websites I couldn’t navigate, packaging that relied entirely on visuals. It quickly became clear that the beauty industry had left people like me behind.

That’s why I created Blind Beauty—a brand born out of frustration, love for skincare, and the belief that beauty should be accessible to everyone. Every part of the experience has been carefully designed with accessibility and inclusion at its core: from packaging that includes tactile elements, clear text, braille and NaviLens QR codes, to a website built to be navigated by those using screen readers.

But Blind Beauty is more than just accessible skincare. It’s a call to action. A platform to raise awareness of blindness, challenge stereotypes, and push for greater inclusivity across the industry. All of our products are vegan, cruelty-free, suitable for all skin types, and made in the UK—because inclusivity shouldn't stop at accessibility.

Our mission is simple: to make beauty truly inclusive. For blind and visually impaired people. For disabled people. For everyone.

Because beauty should never be out of reach.
